Attorney Mervate Mohammad graduated as a Cume Laude and Honors student from Loyola University of Chicago with a Bachelors Degree in History and Political Science and a double minor in Islamic World Studies and International Studies. Mervate earned her Juris Doctorate Degree at the John Marshall Law School, is licensed to practice in Illinois and has earned her Federal General Bar admission to the Northern District of Illinois Supreme Court.

Mervate is bilingual, being fluent in Arabic including reading and writing the Arabic language. Stephanie Gilbert has always wanted to work as a lawyer helping out her community. Stephanie has worked towards this goal long before law school by serving as the Membership and Public Relations executive in the University of Illinois Pre-Law Club. Stephanie went on to graduate from the University of Illinois in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, giving her a unique ability to empathize with her clients with the goal of minimizing the trauma of divorce and child custody proceedings. Stephanie went on to earn her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2016.
Before joining Kiswani Law, Stephanie worked as a law clerk for various private law firms and the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office, focusing on family law and commercial litigation, throughout her undergraduate and law school studies.
Stephanie is a member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta: Story Chapter.
After graduating from DePaul University College of Law, Stephanie took the Illinois bar exam and was sworn in to practice law in the State of Illinois in November 2016. Stephanie then took the Indiana bar exam and was sworn in to practice law in the State of Indiana in May of 2017.
